Copperman Logo Design
About the copperman Logo Design Project
Client: Copperman Copper Patterns (Buffalo. NY)Design Project: Logo Design
The Copperman logo design originated from a single entrepreneurial idea in honor of the late Peter Lyszewski of Buffalo, NY. A copper craftsman and sheet metal worker and teacher by trade, Peter had developed and replicated several sheet metal plans that could be created by any copper student or craftsman. These copper plans included the schematics to create several objects including a copperman, bushel baskets, copper lanterns, copper ships and candelabra. The plans were originally sold in a copper craft trade magazine. After the death of Peter Lyszewski, his son Donald carried out the crafting traditiion by offering these copper patterns available for resale online on an ecommerce web site. Typework Studio developed the logo design for the copperman ecommerce website, which features and icon of the original copperman design by Peter Lyszewski.
The logo design solution created by Typework Studio for the Copperman project gained its inspiration from the original copperman statue. The copperman icon was developed from the original copper patterns and combined with Aviano Sans to offer a modern and contemporary twist on a fading craft in America.
