Berenson Corporation Logo Design
Berenson Hardware, a kitchen hardware manufacturer and distributor in Buffalo NY, had an aging brand with a logo that originally mimicked their competitors. Their original design need was a new logo design for an internal sample program called Samplicity. The problem that arose in the logo design creation for Samplicity was the necessity of the new logo to be combined with the Berenson logo, which visually conflicted. Berenson expressed interest in a refreshed brand identity. The new logo had to meet certain criteria. First, the new logo had to retain brand recognition as Berenson maintains a large customer base already familiar with the original logo. Berenson also wanted to incorporate an icon that could work consistently with the Berenson logo as well as with the Samplicity program. Finally, the new logo had to integrate well with the Samplicity program.
The design solution created by Typework Studio for the new Berenson brand captures the essence of the original logo while incorporating a more contemporary and refined and unique image.
